In the early evening of Thursday, January 8, 2026, events unfolded that tragically cut short the life of 43-year-old Gavin St Aubyn Boothe. A resident of Beltsville, Maryland, Boothe was fatally shot in an incident that is now the subject of a homicide investigation by the Montgomery County Department of Police. The male victim was discovered with an apparent gunshot wound in the roadway adjacent to an Exxon gas station located in the 3000 block of Briggs Chaney Road in Silver Spring.
