Charly Blayner Vail Lucas, 17, male, was shot and killed on the night of September 5, 2025, in Silver Spring, Maryland. Police say the gunfire erupted around 9:46 p.m. at Long Branch Local Park on Langley Drive, where officers found two people wounded near the basketball court. Lucas, of Silver Spring, was pronounced dead at the scene; a 21-year-old man was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
