In a heart-wrenching incident that unfolded in Pittsburgh's California-Kirkbride neighborhood, 7-year-old Kruz Bailey-Baker, an African American boy, lost his life in what police have described as a tragic accident. On the morning of Saturday, January 10, 2026, police were called to a home on Kirkbride Street for a report of a shooting. Inside, they found young Kruz with a gunshot wound to the head.
