In the late hours of a Tuesday night in northwest Atlanta, a tragedy unfolded that cut short the life of 16-year-old Jaimin White. On January 13, 2026, the teenager was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound at Atlanta Fire Rescue Station 38 on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway Northwest. Emergency services were called to the station at approximately 10:50 p.m., but upon their arrival, White was pronounced dead at the scene.
Further investigation by the Atlanta Police Department revealed
that the initial incident did not occur at the fire station. It was determined that the shooting took place earlier in the 1500 block of Ferno Drive Northwest. A family member had driven White to the fire station seeking urgent medical assistance for his injuries.
Jaimin White was a student at Maynard Jackson High School, located in the Glenwood Park neighborhood. Following an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death, the Atlanta Police Department concluded that the gunshot wound was self-inflicted. There have been no reports of any arrests or suspects in connection with this case, as the authorities have determined that no foul play was involved.
