On the night of Wednesday, December 3, 2025, violence struck the Spanish Lake area of St. Louis County, Missouri, leaving two young men dead. St. Louis County Police officers rushed to the 12400 block of Horizon Village Drive at approximately 10:25 p.m. after the ShotSpotter gunshot detection system alerted authorities to gunfire in the neighborhood.
Upon arrival at the scene, first responders discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds inside a vehicle.
Authorities identified one of the victims as 24-year-old male Tajean Johnson, a resident of the 3200 block of Greenway Chase Drive in Florissant. He was found alongside 23-year-old Damarius Bolden, who lived on the 7200 block of Teal Avenue in St. Louis. While emergency personnel pronounced Bolden dead at the scene, Johnson was transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he later succumbed to his injuries.
As the investigation unfolded, homicide detectives began their work to piece together the events leading up to the double shooting. As of the days immediately following the incident, police had not taken any suspects into custody, and no arrests had been reported in connection with the case. The St. Louis County Police Department kept the investigation active and urged anyone with information regarding the shooting to contact them or submit tips anonymously through CrimeStoppers.
