On the evening of Friday, December 5, 2025, a violent incident occurred in the Hartwell neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio, resulting in the death of Johnie Deontae Thomas, a 27-year-old male. Cincinnati Police Department officers were dispatched to the 8000 block of Ferndale Avenue around 8:00 p.m. following reports of gunfire in the area.
