On the evening of December 5, 2025, police in Oklahoma City responded to a distress call that would mark the city’s 70th homicide of the year. At approximately 7:33 p.m., officers arrived at a parking lot located near the intersection of Southwest 22nd Street and Independence Avenue. Upon their arrival, they discovered 22-year-old Andrea Leete, a White female, suffering from critical gunshot wounds.
First responders immediately attended to her, transporting her to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. Despite the medical intervention, she ultimately succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
As the investigation unfolded, detectives identified a suspect, 21-year-old Caleb Davila, who they determined had been in a dating relationship with the victim at the time of the shooting. According to law enforcement reports, Davila initially fled the scene of the crime on foot. He was later observed by officers operating a vehicle belonging to a family member, which sparked a vehicular pursuit through the city streets. The chase concluded in the 2800 block of North May Avenue, where Davila surrendered to authorities and was taken into custody without further incident.
Following his arrest, Davila was transported to the Oklahoma County Detention Center, where he was booked early the next morning at 4:06 a.m. on December 6. Jail records indicate he faces complaints of first-degree murder and endangering others while eluding a police officer. A bond for the murder charge was subsequently set at $10 million.
