In the early morning hours of December 6, 2025, a violent incident occurred in West Dallas involving a 15-year-old Hispanic male named Eddie Mejia. Police officers responded to a call at Medical City Dallas Hospital on Forest Lane at approximately 5:08 a.m., where the teenager had arrived seeking urgent treatment for a gunshot wound.
