On November 13, 2019, 24-year-old Mohamed Koroma was found fatally shot in the front seat of a black Chevrolet SUV in the 10100 block of Forest Lane in Dallas, Texas. Koroma, a Black male, was discovered around 8:30 p.m. by police who responded to a shooting call. He had sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Dallas County Medical Examiner confirmed his identity.
Homicide detectives launched an investigation into Koroma's death and released a description of a
suspect seen leaving the scene in a silver sedan with front-end damage and a spare tire on the front driver's side. The suspect, described as a Black male with dreadlocks, fled the scene with another man and a woman. Despite extensive efforts, no arrests have been made in connection with Koroma's murder.
The Dallas Police Department has continued to seek public assistance in identifying and locating the suspect, offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. The case remains open, and detectives are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Koroma was known for his dedication to serving others and his involvement in community activities, including street evangelizing and volunteering at a soup kitchen. His death was described as an unprovoked attack, and his family and friends have expressed deep sorrow over the loss of a kind and gentle soul.
