On the night of Sunday, December 7, 2025, a violent incident unfolded at a convenience store in Kansas City, Missouri, that ultimately claimed the life of a local resident. Officers from the Kansas City Police Department were dispatched just before midnight to the Express Stop 5, a Phillips 66 gas station located in the 2900 block of Van Brunt Boulevard, following reports of gunfire.
