On the night of Wednesday, May 28, 2025, a violent confrontation unfolded in the Fairlane neighborhood of south Kansas City, Missouri, resulting in the loss of two lives. Police officers were dispatched shortly after 9:00 p.m. to a residence in the 9600 block of Fremont Avenue following reports of a disturbance that involved gunfire.
