In the early morning hours of Sunday, December 7, 2025, a violent incident occurred on the west side of Flint, Michigan, claiming the life of 47-year-old Dominick Wright. Around 1:45 a.m., law enforcement officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1100 block of North Chevrolet Avenue. Upon their arrival, authorities discovered that Mr. Wright, a male resident of the area, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
He was transported for medical care but succumbed to his injuries later that same day.
The Flint Police Department immediately launched a homicide investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting. As of the most recent reports, authorities have not yet identified a specific suspect, and no arrests have been made in connection with the case. Investigators are actively seeking information from the public to help piece together the events that led to the tragedy.
To assist in the investigation, Crime Stoppers of Flint and Genesee County has announced a cash reward of up to $2,500 for anonymous tips leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible. Funeral arrangements for Mr. Wright were entrusted to the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, where friends and family have gathered to share tributes and light candles in his memory, mourning the loss of their loved one to gun violence.
