On December 12, 2025, the community of Scranton, Pennsylvania, was shaken by the violent death of 16-year-old male Dylan Smith. Officers from the Scranton Police Department were dispatched to a residence on the 1300 block of Bryn Mawr Street in the city's West Side on a Friday afternoon following reports of a shooting.
