Michael Adams, 65, a man from Albuquerque, was found mortally wounded on the afternoon of December 19, 2025, along a stretch of road in the South Valley near the intersection of Second Street SW and Desert Street SW. Deputies were dispatched to the area just after 4 p.m. after reports came in about a shooting victim, and the quiet corridor quickly became a sealed-off crime scene as first responders rushed to help.
