In the early hours of November 23, 2025, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to a report of a person shot at a home in the 3100 block of Forest Manor Avenue, on the city’s east side. When they entered the residence just after 4 a.m., they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds; one of them, identified later by the Marion County Coroner as Stephen Chipman Jr., a 31-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene while the other was rushed to a local hospital
