On a Sunday evening in Pittsburgh's Hill District, 35-year-old Philip T. Griffin of McKees Rocks was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. on November 16, 2025, in the 2400 block of Webster Avenue, near the Bedford Dwellings development. Officers were dispatched to the scene after a report of shots fired and found Griffin lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported by paramedics to UPMC Mercy Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:33 p.m.
