In the early morning hours of Saturday, November 1, 2025, the life of 18-year-old Edguin Zelaya-Mendez of Alexandria, Virginia, was tragically cut short. Richmond police officers were already at an apartment complex at the intersection of West Bacon Street and Hickory Street in response to a noise complaint.
