In the early evening of a Tuesday in New Orleans, 39-year-old Ernest Robertson’s life was abruptly ended in a burst of gunfire. On November 11, 2025, while at a Shell gas station in the Central City neighborhood, a brazen and fatal attack occurred. Robertson, a male, was in his vehicle at the station located on the 2100 block of South Claiborne Avenue when the assailant made a calculated approach.
The tranquility of the evening was shattered at approximately 6:35 p.m.
as a person riding a small black scooter pulled up near Robertson's silver four-door sedan. Without warning, the individual dismounted the scooter and opened fire, unleashing multiple shots into the vehicle. The driver's side window was shot out during the assault, and Robertson was struck by the gunfire. The suspect quickly fled the scene, leaving behind a scene of chaos and a man gravely wounded.
Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the gas station. Upon their arrival, first responders found Ernest Robertson suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, the injuries he sustained proved to be too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
