In the spring of 2017, a violent feud between rival gangs in New Orleans claimed the life of 24-year-old Terrance Terrell Augustine. On the evening of Wednesday, May 3, 2017, Augustine was involved in a shooting incident at the Bernmas Apartments. During the altercation, he was struck by return fire and fatally wounded.
