In the autumn of 2025, a dispute over a four-wheeler in Jackson, Mississippi, escalated to a fatal conclusion, claiming the life of 39-year-old Quinton Boggan, a white male. On the evening of October 23rd, events unfolded in the 2100 block of Thousand Oaks Drive that would end in Boggan being shot. Emergency responders transported him to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, but his injuries proved too severe, and he died shortly after his arrival.
The investigation into Boggan's death quickly pointed to a group of individuals who were allegedly attempting to steal a four-wheeler from his residence. This confrontation is believed to have led to the shooting. In the immediate aftermath, law enforcement began a search for those involved. One of the first suspects to be apprehended was 18-year-old Christopher Nicholson, who was reportedly found in a wooded area near the scene of the crime. Following his arrest, Nicholson allegedly admitted to his involvement, specifically to driving the getaway vehicle. He was subsequently charged with capital murder and, during his initial court appearance on October 24, was denied bond.
As the investigation continued, authorities made it known that they were searching for additional suspects. Their efforts led to the arrest of a second individual, 26-year-old Natzaveen Vaughn, in the nearby city of Pearl on November 3, 2025. Vaughn was also charged with capital murder in connection with Boggan's death. His arrest was a collaborative effort involving the Jackson Police Department, the Pearl Police Department's Special Operations Division, and the U.S. Marshals Service. While two suspects are in custody, police have indicated that at least two other individuals may have been involved in the incident and remain at large. The investigation into the full extent of the circumstances surrounding Quinton Boggan's death is ongoing.
