Norman Paul Brown, 44, a Black/African American man, was fatally shot on the evening of October 5, 2025, while riding a Dallas Area Rapid Transit Blue Line train as it reached the Pearl/Arts District Station in downtown Dallas. The shooting, which occurred around 7 p.m., prompted an emergency response and a temporary disruption of rail service. The Dallas County Medical Examiner later identified the victim as Norman Brown.
