On August 1, 2020, Jonetan Castro Navarro, a 37-year-old Hispanic male, was found dead in the parking lot of the Pebble Apartments in Dallas, Texas. The Dallas Police Department responded to a health and welfare check at approximately 6:47 a.m. and discovered Navarro lying in the rear parking lot. He had been fatally shot, and the Dallas County Medical Examiner's office later confirmed his identity and cause of death as a single gunshot wound.
The Dallas homicide unit launched an
investigation into Navarro's death, seeking information from the public to aid in solving the case. Detective Esteban Montenegro was assigned to the case, and the police urged anyone with information to come forward. Crime Stoppers offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment related to the crime.
Despite the efforts of the Dallas Police Department and the appeal for public assistance, there have been no arrests or suspects publicly identified in connection with Navarro's murder. The investigation remains open, and the authorities continue to seek leads to bring justice to the victim and his family.
