On September 16, 2023, at approximately 3:05 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting incident in the 2600 block of Kenesaw Drive, located in the Ledbetter area of Dallas. Upon arrival, officers discovered 53-year-old Santos Chavez suffering from gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire-Rescue was dispatched to the scene; however, Chavez succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
