On the evening of March 9, 2023, Dallas police responded to reports of a shooting in the 4200 block of Port Boulevard, a commercial area in South Dallas. Upon arrival, officers discovered 61-year-old Donald Jackson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite prompt medical attention, Jackson succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
