In the early hours of October 5, 2025, a burst of violence shattered the pre-dawn quiet in Colorado Springs, leaving one young man dead and another fighting for his life. Twenty-one-year-old Daniel Federico, a male, was killed in the incident. The Colorado Springs Police Department received a call about a shooting at approximately 1:58 a.m. and dispatched officers to the 3500 block of North Academy Boulevard.
