A 14-year-old male, Carltin Bayong, lost his life in a drive-by shooting in Greenbelt, Maryland, on the afternoon of Sunday, October 5, 2025. Originally from Cameroon, Bayong was a student at Eleanor Roosevelt High School and had been entrusted to the care of a guardian in the United States by his parents, who hoped for a better future for him.
