Death by Force

Brekyra Fisher, a 29-year-old Black woman, was shot and killed on the evening of October 11, 2025, on the campus of Alcorn State University in Lorman, Mississippi. Authorities said the gunfire erupted around 6:30 p.m. near the Industrial Technology Building; responding officers found three people wounded, and the Claiborne County coroner later identified Fisher, of Vicksburg, as the victim who did not survive.
