Tammy Vuncannon Ayers, 61, a woman from the Guntown area of Lee County, Mississippi, was found dead on the morning of September 15, 2025, after deputies were sent for a welfare check at a residence near Five County Sportsman Lake. Inside the home, investigators discovered the bodies of a man and a woman; Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green identified the woman as Tammy Vuncannon Ayers, 61, and the man as Steven Ayers, 58.
