In the quiet community of Guntown, Mississippi, a welfare check on September 15, 2025, led to the grim discovery of a murder-suicide that claimed the lives of 61-year-old Tammy Vuncannon Ayers and Steven Bradley 'Brad' Ayers. The Lee County Sheriff's Department responded to a call to a residence in the area after one of the individuals failed to show up for work.
Upon entering the home, deputies found both Tammy and Steven Ayers deceased inside.
