On January 2, 1988, the body of 16-year-old Tyra Perry was discovered in a remote area of the Sandia Mountains near Albuquerque, New Mexico. Tyra had gone missing days earlier on December 28, 1987, after being seen at a local store. She was reportedly forced into a white vehicle by a man linked to local drug activity. Tyra, who was five months pregnant at the time, was found brutally stabbed to death, with two stab wounds to her back.
