On August 24, 1999, a tragic incident occurred in Albuquerque, New Mexico, when 30-year-old Lisa Guerrero and her 20-year-old brother Eddie Guerrero were shot while parked in their car on the 200 block of Sunny Slope Rd. SW in the South Valley. Lisa was pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple gunshot wounds, while Eddie was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries four days later.
