In the early morning hours of September 21, 2021, a developing tragedy unfolded in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with the death of 22-year-old Brittany Ramirez. The young woman, a mother to a three-year-old daughter, was left outside the emergency room of Presbyterian Hospital just after 2:00 AM. She had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the back of her head.
