Leslie Covington, a 52-year-old woman from Slaton, Texas, tragically died on March 18, 2017. The incident was determined to be a murder-suicide. Leslie sustained a single gunshot wound to the head, and her husband, Monte Covington, aged 58, was found a few feet away with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The couple's three children, aged 10, 15, and 18, were present in the residence at the time but were not involved in the incident.
