A welfare check on Monday, October 13, 2025, led to the discovery of 45-year-old Delilah Harris, a Black female, deceased inside her apartment at the Windsor Village complex on Woodstone Road in Clinton, Mississippi. Responding officers from the Clinton Police Department found her with multiple gunshot wounds. The Hinds County Interim Coroner, Jeramiah Howard, later confirmed that Harris's death was a result of the multiple gunshot wounds she sustained.
The discovery prompted a homicide investigation by the Clinton Police Department. Although Harris was found in her Clinton apartment, records indicated she also had an address in Byram. The investigation quickly focused on a person of interest, and by Thursday of the same week, an arrest was made in connection with the murder.
Authorities arrested 40-year-old Antonio Trenell Myles of Byram, who was identified as Harris's boyfriend. Myles was subsequently charged with murder and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. During his initial appearance in Clinton Municipal Court, a judge set his bond at $1,000,000 for the murder charge and an additional $75,000 for the weapon possession charge as the case prepared to move forward.
