Ramona Jasso Cortes, 44, a Hispanic/Latina woman, was found dead inside her Greensboro home after officers responded to an aggravated-assault call on the 3600 block of Sharon Avenue around 2:10 p.m. on October 18, 2025. After interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence, investigators charged Ramona’s boyfriend, 42-year-old Alfredo Santana Trujillo Sr., who lived at the same address, with first-degree murder. He was arrested without incident and booked into the Guilford County Jail, where he remains in custody as the case proceeds.
