On June 9, 2025, around midday in Greensboro, North Carolina, 41-year-old Cathrice Whitsett was found with at least one gunshot wound on the 200 block of Berryman Street. Officers arrived at approximately 12:31 p.m.; Guilford County EMS rushed 41-year-old Cathrice Whitsett to a local hospital in critical condition, where the 41-year-old female later died of her injuries. Authorities classified the case as a homicide, marking Greensboro’s 17th homicide of 2025.
