Odeal G. Curley, 40, a Black/African American woman, was returning from a night out on a private party bus when violence found her at the curb in Chicago’s Fuller Park. Around 12:40 a.m. on October 18, 2025, as the bus stopped near the 5400 block of South Shields Avenue, a passenger still seated inside drew a gun and fired. The bullet struck Curley in the thigh.
