On December 31, 2010, 17-year-old Christopher Jones was tragically killed in a shooting outside his East Oakland home. As Christopher and his mother were preparing to go to dinner before church, gunmen opened fire across the street, aiming at a nearby car. In the chaos, Christopher was fatally struck while his older sister was injured.
