On July 31, 2011, 21-year-old Charles Smith was fatally shot in Oakland, California. The incident occurred in East Oakland, near 87th Avenue and G Street, during the early morning hours. Smith was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was quickly transported to Highland Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
