On the night of June 11, 2025, Dameon Jerrod Green, 34, a Black/African American man from Dallas, was found fatally wounded inside a home in the 4800 block of Spring Avenue. Dallas police were dispatched at about 9:55 p.m.; when officers entered, they discovered Dameon Jerrod Green, 34, male, unresponsive with a gunshot wound, and James Johnson, 71, also shot. Dallas Fire-Rescue pronounced both men dead at the scene. The incident was opened under case number 083371-2025.
