On May 19, 2025, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville campus was shattered by a tragic event that claimed the life of Kelsie Martin, a 22-year-old White/Caucasian female student. Just two days after her graduation, a disturbance was reported in Wilgus Hall, a student residence building, leading to a police response that would uncover a grim scene.
