On a summer evening in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the life of 15-year-old Damelvion Greene, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On June 9, 2025, just after 6 p.m., gunfire erupted near North 45th Street and West Hampton Avenue, a familiar corner on the city's North Side. Damelvion was shot and died at the scene, while a 13-year-old boy who was with him was also wounded but survived his injuries and was taken to a hospital.
