In a quiet neighborhood on Milwaukee's north side, the evening of Sunday, February 15, 2026, was shattered by gunfire. Officers responded to a call around 5:30 p.m. on the 3300 block of N. 12th Street, near the intersection of 12th and Concordia. Upon arrival, they discovered a tragic scene with two men deceased from gunshot wounds. One of the victims was identified as 24-year-old John Michael Angelo Childress Jr., a male who lost his life to gun violence that day.
