Kalvin Martinez Butler, a 29-year-old Black/African American man, was fatally shot in Milwaukee on the evening of August 12, 2025. Milwaukee police were called at about 5:30 p.m. to the 1400 block of North 8th Street, where officers found Butler suffering from gunshot wounds. He was discovered on a porch with wounds to his neck and back and did not survive. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office publicly identified him following the shooting.
