Jessica D. Wooten, 40, a Black woman from Richmond, was shot in the early morning hours of July 12, 2025, at the Beechtree Townhomes in the 4000 block of Belcourse Road in Chesterfield County. Officers were dispatched around 2:53 a.m. and found the 40-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound; she was transported to a hospital and died shortly after arrival.
