Angela Perry, 51, a Black / African American woman from Houston, died on August 16, 2025. Authorities said the fatal shooting happened that Saturday evening, and that Angela Perry, 51, was identified as the woman who died.
Police reported that officers were dispatched around 7:30 p.m. to a residence at 3804 Mount Pleasant Street, where they found Angela Perry, 51, unresponsive in the living room with multiple gunshot wounds; Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced her dead at the
scene. A 67-year-old man was found in a bedroom with multiple gunshot wounds and rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
In the weeks after the killing of Angela Perry, 51, detectives identified a suspect and secured charges. Houston police named John Guy Tucker, 54, and said he is charged with murder in the death of Angela Perry, 51, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the wounding of the 67-year-old man. Officials publicized that Tucker was wanted and not in custody, and asked anyone with information to contact HPD Homicide or Crime Stoppers.
Loved ones of Angela Perry, 51, gathered two weeks later in Pearland for a visitation, a celebration of life, and a reception on August 30, honoring her life and presence in the community she called home.
