On the evening of July 31, 2025, Lebron Givuan, a 28-year-old male, was fatally shot on the steps of Pursuit Seattle Church in the city's University District. He was arriving for a weekly barbecue and young adult service with his wife and child when the incident occurred. The shooting, which marked Seattle's 23rd homicide of the year, is believed to have been a targeted attack.
