Giselle Britt, 30, a Black woman from Franklin, Virginia, was shot in the early morning hours of October 2, 2025, and later died of her injuries. Police were called just before 3 a.m. to the 1300 block of Mariner Street, where officers found Britt with gunshot wounds to her back and stomach; she was rushed to Bon Secours Southampton Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
