In the early morning hours of October 2, 2025, the life of Giselle Britt, a 30-year-old Black woman from Franklin, Virginia, was tragically cut short. Responding to a call shortly before 3 a.m., Franklin police officers arrived at the 1300 block of Mariner Street to find Britt suffering from gunshot wounds to her back and stomach. Emergency responders transported her to Bon Secours Southampton Medical Center, but despite their efforts, she succumbed to her injuries. Her sister recounted that med ...
