In the early morning hours of October 2, 2025, the life of Giselle Britt, a 30-year-old Black woman from Franklin, Virginia, was tragically cut short. Responding to a call shortly before 3 a.m., Franklin police officers arrived at the 1300 block of Mariner Street to find Britt suffering from gunshot wounds to her back and stomach.
