Noah Taylor, age 22, a white male, and Smyrna resident, headed west on Interstate 24 just after sunrise on Saturday, July 12, 2025. Around 7:30 a.m., as he drove toward Nashville near the Waldron Road interchange by the Rutherford–Davidson County line, shots were fired into his vehicle. He was found dead in his car at the scene, and investigators immediately treated the case as a homicide.
