Kathleen Bullock, 62, female, was found shot inside a home in the 400 block of Crystal Street in Longview on the afternoon of September 22, 2025, after officers responded to a welfare check around 4:08 p.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene by a Gregg County Justice of the Peace.
Police identified Lavan Bullock, 66, as the suspect. He was also at the location with non-life-threatening injuries, was taken to a hospital for treatment, and afterward was booked into the Gregg County Jail
on a murder charge, a first-degree felony. Authorities said the investigation remained active following the arrest.
Public records and memorial notices later confirmed her identity and date of death, with funeral arrangements handled by Bigham Mortuary and a memorial reception noted for early October in Longview. Community memorial pages recorded her death as a gun-violence homicide on the same date.
