In the early hours of May 18, 2025, 17-year-old Victor Ramirez Jr., a male from Charlotte, was found shot in the parking lot along the 100 block of Winding Path Way, just east of Uptown. Officers responding to an assault-with-a-deadly-weapon call arrived shortly after 3 a.m. and discovered Victor Ramirez Jr., age 17, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds; MEDIC pronounced him dead at the scene.
